Changing Feelings Towards Peter and Andrea in Once in a House on Fire E

Changing Feelings Towards spear and Andrea in Once in a House on FireOnce in a house on fire by Andrea AshworthAt the beginning of the Novel, A freak accident robbed Andrea of aloving fuss at the get along with of five. Her mother Lorraine, widowed at barelytwenty-five years old, was distraught, non least because she was leftalone to raise Andrea and her younger sister Lauren ( in like manner known asLaurie). By the time Andrea was six, she had a new father...When the lector first meets rooster, it is difficult to contrive a clearopinion of him. He seems to show that he wants to be the childrensnew daddy by lugging stead bulging sacks of misshapen Mojos for mysister and I He also appears to possess a good relationship with hiswife but we soon acquire this is non so. A Jekyll and Hyde character,he swings between loving husband and father and violent, terrifyingbully. Andrea would watch as her mother smiled through his kissing heed but these soon turned into vicious shoutin g matcheswhich half the channel could hear. The proofreader immediately feels angertowards shit for his unjustifiable behaviour towards his family. onlyif you look at the quote, it is clear that it is a match whichgenerally consists of dickens people or groups competing for supremacy. This shows that although Peter started the shouting, Andreas motheralso played a part. This get ins the reader feel annoyed. This isbecause although we feel that she should defend herself, she iscontributing to the argument and indeed making it worse.Another incident showing how Lorraine contributed to an argument iswhen Peter comes substructure she has got the kids cooking behind his back.and he is angry because he feels she is lazing on her arse... ...What Peter has done is completely unexpected and brings outthe Jekyll and Hyde element of his character. But for once, what hehas done is neither loving nor hating. This reaction completelyperplexes the reader. What this shows is that even though Peter is everything the readerthought in the first place, he is not as predictable and does not fitthe stereotype. However this does not make the reader begin to likehim but pity him even more. What is at last clear is that althoughwe do not think he intended it, Peter subconsciously started to, ifnot completely break the cycle he himself started. This is where thefeelings of the reader can be divided. On one hand It could state thiswas just chance and it was Andrea who eventually broke the cycle or,it could also be said that they both played equal parts and eventuallyeven Peter had, had enough.
