The historical Tragedy Of junctureIn the play Hamlet, by William Shakespeare, the demolition or murder of a character becomes very freuquent. Although many people die. It is a result of their own wrong-doing. You could almost say they deserved what they got. But in that location were terminations of people, that were due to the manipulation from the royalty. The real tragedy of Hamlet is non that of Hamlet or his family but of Polonius&8217 family because their deaths were not ca employ by their own, fiendish actions, but rather by their small instigation of Claudius and Hamlet&8217s battle.The first character to die in the play is Polonius. Eventhough Polonius oft acted in a deceitful manner when dealing with Hamlet, it is only because he was carrying out plans devised, and fiated by the male monarch and/or fay, in order to discover the nature of Hamlet&8217s madness. Being the King&8217s r ight hand, it was his duty to obey the King and Queen&8217s wishes, and it was indeed his loyalty that eventually proved to be fatal for him. An example of how Polonius&8217 innocent involvement with the royal family resulting to his death can be found at the beginning of Act III, stage setting iv, when Hamlet stabs him while he is hiding behind the Curtained mole in Gertrude&8217s chamber. This is a great example of how Polonius, a man unknowing of the true nature of the situation that he was in, is killed by a particle of the royalty during the execution of one (Hamlet) of their schemes. This makes Polonius&8217 death a tragedy. But he was asking for it, come on.The next member of the Polonius clan to die is his daughter Ophelia. Ophelia&8217s death is too tragic, because of her complete innocence in the situation. You can argue that Polonius deserved his wad because of his handling with Hamlet while he was mad. But Ophelia was entirely manipulated, and apply by Hamlet and the king for their own selfish reasons, and games. An example of how Ophelia is used by Hamlet is seen in Act II, scene i, when Hamlet uses her to influence his family that he is truely mad. Ophelia explains to her father, how Hamlet has scared her, causing Polonius to draw the conclusion that Hamlet has an "antic disposition"(He is quickly losing his mind).
